Dimapur, March 26 (EMN): Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) organised a one-day programme on ‘Innovation handloom and weaving awareness,’ organised by MSME – Development Institute, Dimapur, in association with Business Association of Nagas (BAN) at KVIC exhibition hall near Hotel Saramati, on March 26.
Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, the joint director of DC MSME, New Delhi, HP Singh, has encouraged the entrepreneurs to explore their potential in order to scale higher in life. While pointing out that the government could provide various schemes and programmes, he stated that entrepreneurs should be determined on what they truly want to do in life to achieve economic independence.
He urged the young minds to be clear about their goals and avoid becoming confused, adding that they should be aware of the various schemes that the government offers adding that it is easy to obtain information in this digital world in which they live.
The guest of honour and director of state KVIC, Dimapur, Atuba Lusang, spoke on the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and shared that the scheme was aimed at generating employment opportunities in both rural and urban areas.
Lusang informed that the scheme is implemented by Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) as the nodal agency at the national level. He stated that any individual above 18 years of age could apply for the schemes costing above INR 10 lakh in manufacturing and INR 5 lakh in service sector.
Another guest of honour and branch manager of SIDBI Dimapur, G Ramkumar Sharma, stated that SIDBI is directly assisting NGO through promotion and development programmes by selecting NGO and providing 45-day training programmes.
