Earlier this week, the Business Association Of Nagas (BAN) had highlighted the concerns of the village councils and local traders being discriminated in the wholesale market. BAN had also requested the authorities to keep a check on the price of essential commodities. BAN appreciates the DC, District administration, DMC and DCCI for taking these concerns seriously and for taking prompt measures to address the problems.
BAN, after getting permission from district administration to source produce of local farmers from various districts of Nagaland, has started making them available in Dimapur. On Thursday, BAN initiated sale of the organic vegetables from local farmers at DC court junction.
It has come to BAN’s notice that due to the lockdown many local farmers are not able to avail transportation for delivery of their produce to the markets. BAN is filling up this gap.
