The Business Association of Nagas (BAN) installed its district chapter in Kohima on Wednesday. The launch programme was held at the District industries center conference hall, Kohima. Ruguokhrietuo Kesiezie was appointed district convenor of the Kohima chapter.
Speaking at the programme BAN president L Mongkum Jamir said that the organization was formed by the Naga council Dimapur in 2013 especially to look into the problems faced by the Naga business community. Over the years BAN has taken up important tasks and with the establishment of district chapters will reach out to Naga entrepreneurs throughout the state.
The district chapter comprises of five coordinators representing services, manufacturing, agriculture, education and trading sectors.
BAN general secretary Dr Yan Murry gave a presentation on the organization while Pastor Kedo Peseyie of City church Kohima offered the dedicatory prayer.
