One day entrepreneurship awareness programmes were held in Tseminyu and Wokha on 29th and 30th August respectively. The programmes were organized by the MSME Development and Facilitation office Dimapur, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium enterprises, Govt. of India in association with District Industries Centre and Business Association of Nagas.
While speaking as the chief guest, Deputy Commissioner Tseminyu Dr. Zasekuolie Chusi IAS said that he aspires the recently created district to be developed as model district and a business hub. He said that the MSME sector is very important which contribute more than 29% to the GDP and are responsible for 50% of the country’s total exports. He stressed that entrepreneurs need to build their profile to meet the criteria and avail schemes offered by the MSME ministry. The DC also said that Nagas have to be responsible borrowers and repay loans on time.
The inaugural address and briefing on MSME schemes was given by Joint director, MSME-Development Institute Taliwati Longchar. Others who spoke during the programme include Functional Manager District Industries Centre Y.Intsangju Sangtam, SBI branch manager Tseminyu B.S Anaal, President of Kechye block level federation Runosin Khing and BAN executive member Tronglichem Sangtam.
Invocation was pronounced by pastor, old town babtist church Ahyulo Seb. BAN executive member Jwenga Seb gave the vote of thanks while BAN general secretary Dr. Yan Murry was the moderator of the programme.
While Speaking at the Entrepreneurship awareness programme in Wokha BAN president L Mongkum Jamir said that inorder for an economy to grow there are four things that’s of utmost importance, namely infrastructure, labour force, conducive environment and financial institutions.
He said that BAN has a skilled team and is working collectively in trying to pave the way for our aspiring entrepreneurs. He advised the entrepreneurs to fully utilise the benefits of MSME schemes. He also reiterated on not wasting time on thinking what do rather, start doing from now.
Others who spoke during the programme include Joint director, MSME-Development Institute Taliwati Longchar, Inspector of Industries DIC Visakhole Naki, Lead District Manager SBI C Yanthan, Inspector of Industries DIC Bhandari Mhabemo Kithan and Executive member BAN Kedo Nagi. BAN Executive member Benthungo Kithan gave the vote of thanks and invocation was pronounced by Associate pastor Wokha village Baptist church Nongothung Kikon. LDA DIC Wokha was the moderator of the programme.
